We are sad to report that there was a catastrophic earthquake in our city on 22nd February, 2011
The Als Bar building was subsequently demolished ... a decision which was out of our control.
This website is all that remains of one of the finest rock venues Christchurch has ever known.

Welcome to Al's Bar - the home of 'live' music
Located on the fringe of central city Christchurch and owned and operated by local musician Al Park, Al's features local, national and International musicians 4 nights a week.The Bar is housed in a building of brick walls, Rimu Floors and an amazing Sawtooth wooden roofline. The bar itself is solid Rimu and offers a wide range of New Zealand and imported beers, wines and spirits.
A small bar snack menu is available at all times.
Al's Bar is free to hire for Private and Corporate Functions and have a fully equipped kitchen.
